A small group of volunteers who meet once a month to exchange ideas on what our village can do about Climate Change, Global Warming and Biodiversity. We meet in the new Kettins Hub building by the playing field, opposite the Primary School, on the 4th Thursday of the month, usually at 6:00pm. Tea/ Coffee/ cake are provided and there is plenty of parking, including disabled parking at the Hub. The first Climate Cafe was founded some 5 years ago by Jess Pepper in Birnam & Dunkeld.We started our history in September 2021 at a first meeting with 9 people present.
Locally there are now established Climate Cafes in Blairgowrie, in Aberfeldy, in Pitlochry, in Perth City, and in Kinross, New Climate Cafes have been created in London and in Oregon (USA) and in South Africa and others are also planned.
In Kettins, our next scheduled cafes are on the 28th Oct 2021, the 25th Nov 2021 and the 27th Jan 2022, each starting at 6.00pm in the Kettins Hub. Please come along and take part.
Our Mission is simple, it is to to make Kettins a more climate-friendly, more biodiverse, and more resilient, community, to ensure that we beome the change that we want to see.
